What are the benefits of using the MindSet SwimLog?Training your mind is as important as physical training and time spent in the water. Research has shown that keeping a training log results in overall improvement in motivation, attendance and self-confidence. The MindSet SwimLog encourages swimmers to start evaluating and reflecting on their training and performance in the pool daily. It enables swimmers to gain insight and learn from previous experiences in order to avoid repeating mistakes.

Why is the MindSet SwimLog an actual book and not a digital version?The first step to achieving a goal is to write it down! Writing with a pen on paper increases your engagement, enabling you to focus and process information better. Completing a physical daily training log makes you more accountable and committed. Over time the MindSet SwimLog will visually show swimmers what they have achieved and how far they have come.

What is the recommended age for swimmers to start using the MindSet SwimLog?The MindSet SwimLog is recommended to young competitive swimmers who are wanting to take their swimming to the next level by introducing them to goal setting and mental preparation as well as training and performance tracking. The simple layout and design makes the MindSet SwimLog ideal for all competitive swimmers of all ages (from around age 11 and over). The MindSet SwimLog adds value to the hours spent in the pool.

How long does it take to complete my daily swimlog?The Daily Training swimlog pages are designed to be quick and easy to complete. All the hard work has been done for you. Filling your training logbook in should take no more than 5 minutes a day. Once you are used to the format completing your MindSet SwimLog after training will become effortless.

Is it complicated? Will I understand the how to complete each section?The design is straight forward and uncomplicated. Each section also includes step by step instruction pages which help guide the swimmer through the page layout. Once you have got into the routine and are used to the format completing your MindSet SwimLog will be quick and easy.

How many training months are included in each MindSet SwimLog?The MindSet SwimLog consists of a total of 11 Training Months which are not dated. Each month is made up of 27 Daily Training Log pages which include a morning and afternoon session. The Gala Review section provides 12 Gala Evaluations with 9 Race Reviews per gala. The MindSet SwimLog also incorporates a small Open Water Race Review section for swimmers to record up to 20 Open Water events.
